Title: please help me with views
Post by: San on March 01, 2002, 04:39:03 PM: Since coming to Aces High from Warbirds the view system has kicked my butt. I have gotten much better in the last few months but I still lose sight of Mr. Bandit way to much. I am sure its just the way I have my views setup. I certainly would appreciate any recommendations you guys could give me. Do you guys use the zoom feature in fighters?

Post by: FOGOLD on March 02, 2002, 02:02:43 AM: Dont worry too much. I still loose sight of the bandit too.

I set the gunsight well zoomed in so that I can just see essential instruments. The other views are best zoomed well out, especially the rearward ones.

I find the most useful view when tracking a bandit in a turn is left/right and up.

Hat switch is essential with a button mapped for "up". Looking straight up when turning is useful at times too.

The hardest thing is tracking a bandit in a climb or turn where he drops under your nose all the time.

I'm rabbitting on. There are much better pilots than me out on the boards who will help you. Just look at my rank!:rolleyes:
