Title: Pls Enable Spit V and Hurricane IIc from Captured Fields
Post by: funkedup on March 03, 2002, 03:38:25 PM: Enable Seafires and Sea Hurricanes on the CVS as well please.

This would really help RAF and FAA squads practice for Invasion Sicily.

And it would add to the historical accuracy of the CT.

Not satisfied with the massive advantage you've been handed by eliminating the Spit IX? Need to make it more biased against Spits? Can't compete?

Hell yeah, do that! At the same time, add the Trop filters to the LW iron too, they need it just as bad and it reduces their performance too! ;)

Post by: Sabre on March 03, 2002, 10:01:57 PM: C202's and 205's were left out of planesets on areas off Sicily and Italy. My thoughts were that at this stage expeditionary forays were beyond Italies abilities (and their hearts weren't in it anyway).

As for Spitfires, I left them as point defense fighters for Malta and Linosa, but didn't enable them on Sicily or Italy. I didn't really consider the fact that they play a central role in the scenario. Since it's only two fields, I'll go ahead and enable them from CV's only.

And no, I'm not anti-spit...I just wanted to promote greater use of the other aircraft.

Like those two things are mutually exclusive. :D Spit Vs have been in every single CT setup we've had. I bet they'll even show up in a Pearl Harbor setup! ;)

edit: those that know me will notice that my favorite plane in AH IS the Spitfire F. Mk Vb (at least until the Mk Ia comes out). So I am definitely not against Spitfires in general. I just don't wanna see them all over the place in every scenario, and I generally don't fly them in the CT because of that.

Hehehe....got a live one here boys. I've logged into the CT exactly once this setup, was just giving Funked a hard time. But thanks for running with the bait :)
