Title: Win XP not recognizing MS-Precision pro ?

Can anyone lend me a hand here ?

Blood MS products not talking to each other ... even tho MS Siudewinder is in the selection and it says it's auto detect it won't respond.

I got the same problem Duck, only under W2K.  MS has no drivers for w2K for the Sidewinder PRO.  Go figure.

I had initially problems with my PP also untill I plugged it in USB.

Had it in teh USB when I used XP, worked great. Doesn't discover it if you install drivers either?

That's the problem Wil.... what drivers ?

It's unfortunately the gameport device and not the USB version of the precision pro

Windows 2000 and XP have native support for microsoft joysticks. You can try to install the sticks manually from the stick controller menu, just choose 'add' in gaming options and set the stick type you have.(http://users.kymp.net/cable130/gaming options.jpg)

yea tried that but it won't recongize the stick

Duckwing did you try to apply the patch microsoft has for the problem?

They have a downloadable patch which is supposed to fix the problems with joystick detection (only meant to be used if you have a problem like yours, not all have.)
