Title: error starting program

After having to Restore WIN Me after a complete crash and lockup I am unable to get past "ERROR STARTING PROGRAM""The AcesHigh.EXE is linked to missing export DSOUND.DLL:11."
 Have tryed removing the AH from system and redownloading. no help. what can i do, I can't start to get into help area. Any ideas?
 Using HP Pavilion XE 763 with WINDOWS ME.

have you tried reinstalling ALL drivers and directX?

I would do that and then see what happens.

If I remember correctly DX will solve that...

Download Direct X 8.0 or 8.1 and install it. After it is installed you will be able to launch AH. You can get Direct X here http://www.microsoft.com/directx/homeuser/downloads/default.asp
