Title: New Sound Card Problems
Post by: HeLLcAt on March 08, 2002, 06:22:59 PM
Everyone! This is BlueiceJ I just bought a new sound card. I am running a PII 400MHZ Dell computer. I bought a Sound Blaster 16 PCI Card. I installed everything and everything works fine, except for Aces High. All of the sounds are delayed. If I shoot 50 cals in an F6F it takes about 10 rounds until I actually here the gunshots. I hope somebody can help me, it would be very much appreciated!

You PC is slightly outdated.

And you should have bough a SB Live! to avoid problems.
Try
http://www.soundblaster.com
and download the latest drivers.
also make sure you have DirectX8 installed
/good luck

The SB16 doesn't support hardware acceleration.

Go HERE (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=29-116-103) and grab this Hercules card for $16.00.

I had a Yamaha with the same chipset, it's far superior to the POS I currently use.
