I errrmm... played around a bit with a Getforce Tweak & did things I shouldn't have done :)
Removed the tweaker, tried using "Detonator Destoyer" (didn't work under XP) reinstalled 3.11 Drivers, but I still somehow have a bad FPS (15->24 compared to 20->30+ before).
I need to get rid of ancient drivers but have no clue on how to do this without the "Detonator destroyer".
Can someone plz guide me :)

Not so sure about XP, but look for a prog called Regcleaner. It does a good job of clearing out the reg.
Or go into Reg and look for all Nvidia/Geforce references and delete.
Or go to Geforce FAQ. Theres a question in there about how to get rid of old drivers. As I say, not sure about XP though. I have XP and it's fine. Havn't tried updating drivers though.
Best of Luck

With XP.. I've not had to remove drivers like I did with 98.
I am not sure BUT if you select to uninstall the video card in your device manager, next time the machine boots it will revert to the drivers that came with XP. At which time you should be able to just install which ever drivers you wish.

Acutally Skurj, i tried that same thing and it found the bad drivers again instead of the defualt XP graphics driver.
Had to boot into safe mode, find any and all video driver files through a file search, deleted them, rebooted in safe mode again, let windows install the default driver, then reboot, then install the correct driver for my card.
boy, i thought i was screwed....thank god for safe mode. (loooong story, no time).

As fogold said RegCleaner.
get it here: http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/programs/RegCleaner.exe
Do this. Tools => Regisrty Cleanup=> Automatic Registry cleanup.
Then reboot in vga mode and install new drivers.

Got the regcleaner thingie (thx, looks like I cleaned a big load of trash already!)
Ermmmm, how do I boot in safe mode under XP ? :D
Mason, How do I know what files to delete ? (as I already did a blunder with the Gforcetweakie, I can't make it worse........right ? :D)
I also found out that I installed XP on a pretty old drive (my C: is about 2.5 G)... leaves me with about 200Mb free & is givin me a pain about being low on space.
Off to buy a new HDD (about time!)
