I wonder if they were fast enough to compress going uphill.

Initial climb rate for the B-1a was greater than 16K ft/min, and they went just not quite 600mph above 10k.

Heini Dittmar got the V4 trial version up to 623mph in late '41 by having it towed into the air by a Bf 110C.  At that point, it compressed, rather suddenly, it seems, and he had to cut the engine to recover.  As a result, they redesigned the wing for the Me 163B, and you couldn't make the thing go fast enough to compress or spin.  So no, you couldn't compress it going up. :)

I like the gear/main wheel assembly graphics.

Not as hideous as the cockpit pilots head AH STILL WON'T change. (WTF IS with that?)

This gear is just "None more black", grapherific."

Creamo is right.... pilots need to change..

When I fly my red tail P51 (Tuskeegee airmen) I want a black pilot and my callsign changed to "bro"

In Spitfire I want a drip pan under the engine and call sign of "Sir Maddog".............where is that tea Jeebs?

F4u (built in San Diego) I want a blonde pilot and a call sign of "Surfer Dude"

Yak = "Nick the Great"  or "Big Red" and no helmet... a big fur hat...

C205 = "Tony"... I'll be in town with the ladies....

French plane= "Pierre" pilot with hands up...... he'll be in town with Tony.......

Please note.. all characters are fictional and do not reflect anyone real or imagined..... or whatever they say on Law & Order...

Actually, the black wheel is part of a dolly that drops away on takeoff. Since I don't seem to have fooled anyone:D  Lemme say that the wheel from the pic was all black, I added only a little at the bottom (quite poorly I might add, hey it was late)

Not a problem Iron- The touch up was pretty bad, but led to a easy Spinal Tap joke reference, and I got to dig on Supertard one more time about them turnip rutabaga pilot heads before 1.09. ty
