Title: Going insane

I don't get it, every time I run AH it runs for a good few minutes then just closes out and bumps me back to desktop closing AH all together.  I have tried everything new video card latest drivers new sound card latest drivers new JS.  New CPU New Ram what gives.  If I cannot fix it AH will be gone from my hard drive permanently I am afraid.  never had so many probs before.  Been happening the last 3 months getting worse in last 3 weeks.

Here is my sys

AMD 850
256 ram
64 meg ATI SDR
Creative Labs soundblaster live value.
MS precision 2 JS

How old is your OS installation?

I find that Windows will only last reliably about 6-12 months, then reinstall time.

Especially if it is used hard with a large variety of software types and if you install and delete software frequently.

The reinstall usually is the last resort option, but almost always fixes the problems.

Sachs, could you post a more complete list of your computer system?

Periperals?
Interrrupts used?
power supply?
OS version?
video driver version?
direct X version?

the more the better.

Let me ask. Did this start happening and just became more frequent?  You may have a power supply going on the fritz.  AH will cause more heat and power usage due to the extremely high amount of floating point operations required for it and DX, but that is speculation.
