How close are you?  I live in Deep Ellum and I get 16ping.

I wish HT would let us drive to their office and burn a cd for new releases!!  I could have burned the cd and delivered a copy to most players in Dallas within the time it took to download!!

Ok.... I have a 70-80 ping

BUT lemme say this..

I lived in calgary about 5-6 years ago and got cable service pretty early compared to most.  Back then I played Quake Team Fortress, and being the LPB bastid I was I could rock +)
Anyways, I then came home to Ontario where I didn't have cable.. just 28.8  man how depressing that was...  All of a sudden I couldn't play FPS the way I was used to.

So i checked out Red Baron 2 online... and errm it all of a sudden became apparent that PING is less important in flight sims.  I was able to play unhindered by a connect resulting in pings of 200+
I then progressed through to Flying Circus and eventually Air Warrior where still ping was not such an issue.

Sooo  don't sweat a high ping, a stable consistent ping is more valuable IMO.
