Title: A gift from my son
Post by: Curval on March 14, 2002, 07:19:08 AM
I was a bit late getting to work today.  While in my rush to get dressed my son was trying to give me something.  I was trying not to be impatient with him 'cause I was in a rush, but eventually I said "Okay, give it to me".

When I looked down he had deposited a freshly picked booger in my hand.

A great way to start the day.

Sigh...

Sounds like your son is becoming a Democrat!!

There is no time to lose! Quickly grab him by the ankles hold him upside down and shake the toejam out of him!(literally)

If he starts playing with dolls then you may be to late!

LOL Mighty!

My son has been making pictures of F4U's complete with gull wings, and colored blue!  Of course, there's the inevitable booger swiped on the back of the paper...

I was tucking my 2 year old daughter in the other night.
She picked a booger, looked at it, then promptly wiped it on my cheek.  She then proceeded to laugh at my startled expression.

I love being a parent.

Icecream, or more exactly an ice-cream cone.

I'm no expert on Spanish...but is the literal translation of that  "a nose sh*t"?

While appropriate I suppose it makes what my son did seem even worse!

LOL eskimo2....ain't it great?

Seriously Hortlund?

A booger is something that little kids (and some big kids) pick out of their noses.

..or as mentioned above "A nose sh*t"...:D

DOH.....

Actually I figured that you must know that and thought your ice-cream joke was quite funny...(would haved loved to be there when someone orders a chocolate ice cream in a booger) but then you posted again and I thought, "hmmmm...maybe he really doesn't know"..

A side note..

Hortlund...dunno if you can do this in Sweden, but years ago you used to be able to smoke in court rooms.  A very famous lawyer somewhere in the South of the US used to take a paper-clip and straighten it out...then he would insert the wire down the length of a cigar.  Just before the prosecutor started to cross examine his defense witness he would light up the cigar.  By the time the cross examination got underway a significant amount of ash would have accumulated and the lawyer would cough loudly to attract the attention of the jury.  Inevitably they would notice that the ash of the cigar was getting longer and longer.  It was merely a matter of time before the jury would find themselves fixated upon this cigar, waiting for the ash to drop..but the wire would be holding it on.  The prosecutor's cross examination would be completely ignored by them.

THAT is a neat trick

Anyway...thx DA98...he is a smart cookie.

Curval,
Yeah, that is a really smart trick. Unfortunately we are not allowed to smoke in court here. And our legal system is pretty different from the US system. We have no jury for instance. But it would nevertheless be useful if you want to distract the court from what the other guy is trying to get from the witness. Perhaps I could sneak some play-dooh into my nose, and slowly drag it out while the other guy is cross examining.

Sidenote: Speaking of noses. Back in high school I had a friend who always ate peanuts when we were watching video or movies or whatever. We used to hang out 4-5 guys and do that like every night. My friend would always have his little bag of peanuts, and the rest of us would always pester him for some. Then one day he brought a gigantic bag of peanuts. And the rest of us thought "yeayy..we get to eat lots of peanuts tonight". Then he said "guys, look at this" and he took a peanut and put it up his nose. Then he blew it down into the bag, and shook the bag a couple of times. Then he said "Eat as much as you want guys". He was a smart guy.

LOL...sounds like we have similar friends..

A bunch of us get together every Friday for lunch.  One guy always orders onion rings, and when they arrived we used to all grab one.

Now, the first thing he does is spit on them when they arrive at the table.  No-one bugs him for any of them anymore.
