Title: Why doesn't the press know....?
Post by: SKurj on March 14, 2002, 06:10:17 PM: I sent an email to the big guy over at SimHQ today, when i noticed no mention of 1.09's release.

All I said was:

Aces High 1.09 released.

His reply asked if i had a link to where i saw this information....

I shake my head....

Surely we players shouldn't be the ones getting the news out to the Sim news sites, they should have already seen an email from HTC...
Granted I realize HT is busy and all, but is there noone looking after the press?

You ever stop to think about the hundreds of members in the 8 member H2H (free) flying squads downloading at one time.

1.09 is a big event to many members of the online flight sim world. :cool:

Now read what i said again. See what i did there, huh huh, hehe. Bad connection, lag press release, oh god. See, huh. funny..... Yessir, going sir.

I agree with your point as well. I expect to download the file from a different server and even then i'll leave it to itself all day to do the download.

It's just if you get a new user and it's CTD on them it reflects badly. My company waited 3 months before announcing that it's new product was out to squash all the little bugs. ;)
