Title: AH Voice doesn't work
Post by: oblitt on March 16, 2002, 12:36:36 AM
After installing new version, I am still unable to get AH Voice to work properly. Tonite, I could hear squadmates talking, but I couldn't  speak and be heard(some say just as well). RogerWilco works fine. Nomde and I tried setting up AH voice, to no avail. I mapped the transmit button, and he can't hear me. I did everything he suggested, and still a no go.
Any suggestions?

Oblittoo, you need to map the transmit keys first by going to Setup, Keymapping, Global and scroll down to the two "mic" settings.  Assign keys to each one and you will then be heard!  :)

For those of you having trouble transmitting in AH Voice...go into Direct X Diagnostic and click on Sound and move Hardware Sound Accleration to "No Accleration". Will post pic when I can find a web space

ALT TAB to desk top, goto sound settings, microphone recording settings and cycle your microphone boost button.

Leave it on when your are done.  Seems to reinitialize the sound amplification in the game.

It doesn't eliminate the problem, but will allow you to use Voice without relogging.
