Title: er whats happened to the 190D9???
Post by: hazed- on March 17, 2002, 07:29:06 PM
Whilst flying it i started to notice a really annoying tendancy to pull the wrong way after coming out of an auto trim and diving to shoot an opponent.

Then i saw that the aileron trim has changed and now trims to the right. At least i 'think' this has changed. it trims to the right and the propellor appears to be turning clockwise.

Is it me or is this skewiff?????????? :D

My aim feels thrown off as im used to it pulling the other way(touch of rudder just as i fire) but I could be mistaken.I just cant remember if it was different before or its just my imagination.

If it has been changed, why was it adjusted? I wasnt aware there were any faults with the model or at least no announcement of it.

Hazed, must be you, the D9 is as it was.

aileron trim was always to the right, and the prop always rotated clockwise.

The Dora has developed a nasty left wing dip at around 190-210 mph, even on auto., no flaps.

Noticed this after a few stalls and a few 'landings'.

No stall horn, no buffeting, no warning at all...just wings over to the left.

I first noticed it after losing left aileron to a B-17. After that, every time I upped a Dora I had this problem.

Maybe this belongs in the 'Bugs' forum.

But this is not new with 1.09, it has been so since the first time.

This is probably completely unrelated but...

I was in an A8 the other day and had a nasty collision with a spitfire. I flew out with no ailerons and major wing damage, so when I noticed my constant turning to the left, I figured it was a matter of damage to my plane, so I steered a course for home using only rudder and elevator imput. I landed, then reupped, again in the A-8. As I tried to circle the field, I noticed that I couldn't bank right at all, only left. I had to turn a wide left circle, land, exit and reclibrate my joystick in windows.

Like I said, probably not what you're talking about, but maybe?

Hey that might it be.

I also had to recalibrate the stick yesterday. When i took off, the D9 was so heavy on the elevator i thought i were an overloaded lanc. i checked Stick settings and saw that elevator axis just moved out to about 25%.

So there might be some bad calibration probs in AH.

Next time this happens, look back and see what the rudder's doing.  Every once in a while, my rudder gets stuck, usually to the right, and I have to boot strong left rudder to fly straight.  Usually, I go into auto-climb and re-calibrate in AH, which works just dandy.
