Title: Is Hurricane MkI too slow?
Post by: Staga on March 18, 2002, 06:47:00 AM
Chart from help-section:

And scanned pic from Francis Mason's book:

Looks like Hurricane's speed in SL matches to speed of MkI with two blade prop but I thought in time of BoB three bladed Rotol was already in use?

Not that I'm going to fly it... :D

30kft and sea level speed is matching with Watts, but top speed matches with Rotol.

Rotol is quite fast one, at least at sea level and high altitude.

can somebody explain me why all Hurricanes in this table  gain speed with altitude, but at the same time they have all from low altitudes on a significant drop in climbrate - what is usually an indicator for a power loss.
