Title: Streaming Test video
Post by: Mave on March 19, 2002, 02:54:06 AM
Well I wanted to see what I can do with AH's new Film editor. Its a great start. Since I didnt have my old AH films because of a reformat I made a quick offline film. Anyways here ya go. It has great potential for those that dont have TV out on there vid card.

Mason22 I used microsoft 1 and left it at a 75 compression rate. Im assuming the higher the compression rate the more you lose on the quality. Then i poped it into my editing software (MainConcept) and put in the music and a couple effects then recompressed it with realplayer. I tryed using the windows media codec which last time I checked I would be able to stream it with better quality but that didnt work.   Some of my other codecs gave out some great results but with the cost of high MB's. I still need to play around with the codecs to see which one gives me high quality but  good compression.

Hblair sorry right now its just for streaming viewing. Maybe I can upload It somewhere in a day or so, but If i do, it will be higher then 15 MB's so I can get better quality. Its just a quick test film I made of me flying around offline.

Btw Hitech Appending films does not work, but I saw it was stated in the film editor forum.

A good compression utility you guys might wanna play around with is the Bink player. Last time I was making films this was the top notch utility to use.

Oh btw I know it was at 30 fps and I think 352x280. Im not sure since I made it so quick.
