Has anyone ever seen a fighter sweep mission in the mission planner before?  All I ever see is jabo or bomber missions, and even they are somewhat rare.

we used to do them frequently. not so much in the planner anymore. just up in the same plane and go clean house.

Ripsnort and Hazed have both posted fighter sweep missions for the Knits.

I've even put up a few fighter sweep missions... the only people who join them usually though are close friends and squaddies :)

Ripsnort and VMF-323 fighter sweeps via planner exist, but are not as common as base attack type missions.
