Title: I am having sound lag, can anyone help?!?

OK this problem has hampered me before 1.09. I have tried everything I know but I can't fix it. Here is what happens, whenever I pull the trigger to fire guns or drop a bomb, or whenever I take a hit,  my system lags. From the sound and the way it lags, it looks like everytime I pull the trigger it has to load the sound. This takes anywhere from 1 -5 secs, and it has cost me big time.  This almost always causes me to miss my shot or it gets me killed. Is there anything I can do. I am using Mitus sound pack if it helps.

Try de-fragging the drive?

I think I have gotten it to work now. I actually went a downloaded the lasted drivers for my card. After doing some short testing it seems the lag is gone.

The old fix was to drop Hardware Acceleration 1-2 notches in:

Control Panel
Multimedia
Audio
Advanced
Performance
