How about for 1.10 or the next patch we have a little bit more "indepth" piolt wounded system.
Right now in our damage catogory we have:
Piolt Wounded
What I am suggesting is added this to the damage catagory:
Piolt's Right Arm Wounded
Piolt's Left Arm Wounded
Piolt's Right Leg Wounded
Piolt's Left Leg Wounded
Piolt Fatally Wounded
Lets say for example, your right arm gets wounded, you will loose your ability to make difficult manuavers in your plane. The same thing for the left arm. Lets say your right legs gets wounded, you wont be able to use right rudder. Same thing for the left leg. Last, if your piolt is fatally wounded, he will black out a few times, then die( Kinda like what we have now)
What do ya think? :)

Sorry, need to add more, why limit the wounds
More realistic DM should include
Right Hand
Left Hand
Right Foot
Left Foot
Big Toe
Flesh Wound (possible to recover when landing at rearm pad)
Lost contact lense from close shot
or something in my eye.
AirScrew;)
Sorry Joe, it just leaped into my head I couldnt help myself:)

More depth in "human factors" would be interesting........
Lets see what the First Person trooper scenario brings.

...blood splatter on the canopy..... Muhhahaha

First person trooper ??? anyone got any info on this for real? or is it just another cruel rumour?

LHX had that (I think the FIRST sim with pilot injury) and that was built for EGA monitors :)
Well it wasn't blood spatters , it was holes in the windscreen.

I want to be able to do CPR on my pilot when he starts dying.
"1 amp of epi, STAT!"
"Clear!"
"Damn, we lost him. Time of death..."
-
not only do i want to see blood squirting on the windshield but why not have to pilot screaming like bloddy murder.

You know what I'd like to be higher on the "Priority" list than this suggestion? What happens when you just clip the tip of your wing on a tree? BOOM, dead. How about just a missing wingtip? Or landing gear catching the top of the tree, should be just landing gear damage, not the whole plane blown up.
-
Need to do away with the auto-level/auto-climb when pilot loses consciousness. Pilot should also get weaker and not be able to exert as much stick force.

Actually Rip, this already happens. I have a few examples..
1. Last night got to low with a C47 and clipped a tree and lost left wing tip. Held it for a little while then it rolled over and crashed.
2. Taking off in 234, got misaligned on takeoff and lifted off right over rearm pad, clipped the shack with landing gear. Lost right gear. Plane still flew, dropped bombs completed mission and then belly landed on return.
3. Landed C47 went to rearm pad, turned plane to line up for take off, clipped shack with right wing, busted, collapsed landing gear right side. Had to ditch.
4. Wounded 190D9, radiator, dead stick and wing tip. Tried to ditch. Landed in open field but not able to slow down fast enough and rolled right into trees, dead.
I think plane speed is a factor in ground collisions, in first 3 examples I was under 200mph, last one in 190 I was barely able to control the descent and landed pretty fast and was at or just about 200 when I hit trees.

Really low priority for me. There is any number of things I would rather see the time used for.

COOL! You don't know how many pilots we've lost to that damn shack, used to just blow ya right up! Thanks for the info, off to test it tonight...

Rip, What I dont understand is how when driving a gv through the blown up, burning wreakage of a town, and I drive over or through where a building "WAS" but is now destroyed my GV crashes and I die. Just thought I would add that because it ruins my entire logic of the plane and ground collision stuff because gv are definitly under 200mph when they hit something.
