I got into a scrap with a couple of hurrcs over 20k alt in my P51B.
These guys were jerking and banking excessively, turning tight and maintaining excellent E.
So I film the damned fight because I wanted to view the fight from their perspective, and more importantly, I wanted to see their speed and G meter data.
GUESS WHAT?
All the friggen gages are set to ZERO.
Why is this?
Cheers :)

Does our FE even know this info? Does it need to? If not, there's no way to show it.
I agree that it's something I'd really like to see for training purposes, but there may be no way to get that info.

LOD?

Another thing: If Im going to have the ability to go to any plane within range and sit in the pilots seat of other players, why arent tracers and G-effects enabled? What about the head bobbing? All these seem like they should be on/off choices. Also, would be nice to be able to use my flight system for switching around views.
As it is I get a ping tone every time I use the dir arrows to move the view.
Im still disappointed that I cannot review the gage readouts.
The vehicle is doing what it did during the film capture. I mean, the system has all thwe data right there in the file. Why cant the gages display it?
Other than that its a sweet deal.

Does it have that data, or does it just have the info "Plane A is at position x,y,z at time B pointed in direction C"?
I'm pretty sure that this is all the info we have for ENY planes. Otherwise our system would have to be doing full flight model calculations for every plane within our vewing range. Quite a processing hit. :)
Tracers should be displayed, as we dinfinatley have that data on our FE.

When it displays the pilot info, it gives the planes speed and altitude. The information is recorded.
However, if you select his plane, the settings for that pilot are all screwed up. Seems like more of a bug than a lack of data.

This is what I was going to note. When you play the film in the viewer all the airplanes shown on the right panel (except yours) have information relating to speed, altitude and distance from you. In the latest announcement it's mentioned that there are fixes to the film viewer. Let's see what they are.

Speed, alt, and distance from you can all be easily calculated even if our FE only has x,y,z positioning data.
So far, nothing leads me to believe that my FE knows how many G's my opponent is pulling or what his control surfaces are doing. So there's no way to represent that in the films.
OTOH, we do recieve info that he's firing. So we should be seeing tracers.
