Nvidia released the their latest official rev of the Detonator 4 drivers.
Win9x/ME 28.32 (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows9x)
Win2K/XP 28.32 (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows2000)
These drivers, along with the Detonator 3 and other Detonator 4 drivers are recommended for GeForce 2, GeForce 3 and GeForce 4 cards. If you have a GeForce 256 or older TNT2 cards, it's best to stay with the Detonator 2 drivers.

AkAk,
I just got a new DELL with the GEFORCE 3 TI200 with 64 Meg on it. Why should I upgrade to the new drivers? Thanks.

If you are satisfied with the performance of your GeForce with the current drivers you are using, then there is no real reason why you should update your video drivers. On the other hand, if you want to possibly improve the performance of the card, i.e. more frame rates, then maybe using the new drivers might be an option.
Before I tried out the new drivers, I used a test system at work to benchmark both the 27.70 beta drivers and the official 28.32 drivers.
Test system specs
950 Duron
384Megs RAM
GeForce 2 MX 32meg
DirectX 8.1
Win98SE
With the 27.70 beta drivers, 3D Mark 2001SE gave it a score of 1563*.
With the 28.32 drivers, the benchmark score was 1889*, an increase of over 300 points.
Now that I'm home from work, I'm going to install the new drivers and see if they help solve the frame rate problems I've been experiencing since the 1.09 update.
*I know it's a low score for an GeForce 2 card but it's a PCI card not an AGP. AGP based cards will give a slightly higher score.

I didn't get much of a increase in 3dmark2001 but I was able to use 28.32. Before this all drivers newer than the 12.90 set would cause system freeze in seconds. So im glad about this.
Once question though. Do you still have all the advanced setting options available? I can only adjust my resolution now, the settings like FSAA, well all the advanced settings are no longer listed. I tried install twice and then said oh well i will mess with it later. Let me know if you got the same as I described or if you still have all the settings please.

Go back and redownload the drivers from NVidia. There was a problem with the drivers they posted in the morning that didn't have the proper control panel but they've since reposted the driver with the correct control panel.

AKAK,
Will it hurt my system at all to download the drivers? I.E. will AH cease to run because those drivers are sooooo new?
Thanks for all the help.

:) :) :)
I've just installed them on my GeForce2MX and am now getting 45 fps and 20fps through smoke at 1280x1024 32bit in the MA. More importantly, for the first time since the launch of 1.08 I have no stuttering of image in flight.
They certainly seem to work for me!!

Just beware. If you current drivers perform well enough in AH and you have no problems, I don't recommend you try them. As a rule, never "upgrade" drivers unless there is a good reason to do so, as it is possible to have new drivers cause a problem in games like AH.
If you do decide to try the new drivers, make sure you have a copy of the ones you are running now, and make sure you understand how to change back to the older ones if something goes horribly wrong. Also, DO NOT make any other changes at the same time, otherwise you won't know what's causing any problems. Before you upgrade to new drivers, you should go into your driver control panel and write down all the settings you are currently using. Then when you upgrade your drivers, you can check that the settings are the same if needed to either verify that speed improvements were from the drivers instead of a settings change, or possibly resolve a problem by changing the settings back if the new driver version "adjusts" them.

I would not rely on 3DMark2001 to tell you if the drivers are any good are not.
What works in a static benchmark can be horrible in real use. Unfortunately, both ATI and NVidia are in this "benchmark war" mode and are churning out drivers highly optimized for the benchmarks, which could be devastating in real game usage.

whoops..... double post.
