I installed a new sound card tonight and upon loading Aces High, found out that my stick was messed up. For some reason, my comp won't recognize that it is connected. I think the connector went bad, as all the other USB stuff I have (pedals, scanner, mouse, gamepad) work fine. None of the usual tricks work (i.e. unplugging and replugging it back in or cold boots with the stick unplugged). On top of that, my Saitek is still a POS that spikes and loses calibration at the drop of a hat (like every 2 minutes). So, until the TM Cougar that I ordered arrives, I am out of commision.
Sorry despised enemies, one less Hellcat Dweeb to kill for a few weeks.

Same here Mathman,
I Swear, I'm gonna make a hat out of this cat...
wanna play some 'pong' or somethin' meanwhile with me ? :D

Did your new sound card come with a game port? If it did it may have disabled the old one OR it may be conflicting with it.

You have to do more than unplug and replug in a Saitek USB to fix it:
there is an exe called NUKEUSB that will wipe out every trace of the Saitek in the registry to permit a fresh install. I think you unplug the stick, nukeusb, then plug the stick back in, but I may be missing a step. Check your documentation.
