Title: Loss of perks with CTD
Post by: vega on March 23, 2002, 09:25:51 AM
It seems to many of us there is something patently wrong with losing perk points when a CTD occurs and you have a msg saying, "Host Connection Lost" while your own ISP continues to function normally.

Who exactly is "many of us"?

Cetainly not me. While losing perks in this way sucks, it will suck far more if it is changed it so that lost connections do not result in lost perks.

Think about what you are asking for.

Welp, I lost 2 262s and 1 234 this way, but considering I'd had ctd issues before I upped em I don't think I deserve squat back.

Just do 4 hurricane I sorties and you're back where you were.

Alt+F4 scores as a crash.  HT changed it to that way, way, way back because of all the Alt+F4'ing that was keeping folks from getting kills.  AFAIK it's still set like that.
