Today people were making lesbian jokes in the buffer and I added one, I then got muted for 10 minutes I'll guess because I used the word "studmuffingot"?

What kind of PC roadkill is that?

Maybe I should have used the word queer instead?

Just out of curiosity, had you gotten a warning about profanity on the radio earlier?  If so how much earlier?

A week ago or so I got muted after making a derogatory comment about how I hate toejamfires.  First thing I had said on channel 1 in a good while, save trying to answer some newbie questions here and there.  Didna get a warning, just muted.

Sounds like someone in power took personal offense.....

I talked to the muter later and confirmed that studmuffingot was the cause...I'll substitute the word queer in any future jokes I tell. :rolleyes:

Ain't it kinda funny how they can arbitrarily mute ya for something w/o a warning?  Least the filter warns ya.  Course if they warned ya, and didna like ya, yer getting muted left and right after only one warning.

i prefer the idea of an actual breathing muter to the auto "soap in hand coming for your mouth" chat nanny

i have, on 2 occasions, muted myself for explaining how the tail hooks is deployed. (eg. toejam-g, instead of shift-g)

a real muter would see an honest mistake and let it slide.

However, i see your point.  Perhaps the muter could have given you a warning to straighten out (no pun intended) and that would have been that.

perhaps next time you could try phaggot?:D
