I'm sitting here looking at my fathers flight records from WWII. 236:50 in B-24 (mostly M) and 4:30 in the B-29. The B-29 time was so he'd have flight time that month (and get his flight pay).
He was a nose gunner in the B-24, and I also have his Gunners Information File (Air forces Manual 20) published in May, 1944.
The manual has some pretty interesting stuff in it. If anyone's interested I could start scanning pages and post them on my web site.
