Title: Ordinal 12 missing from DLL DSOUND.dll
Post by: Puck on March 27, 2002, 09:44:23 PM
I just fired up my Soyo K7V Dragon+, including loading all the latest and greatest drivers.  Unfortunatly I get an error when trying to start AH:

The Ordinal 12 could not be located in the dynamic link library DSOUND.dll

At least one other person uses this MB, and I would think he's also using the onboard sound chip.  Any idea what it'll take to fix this?

Running W2KPro.  If forced into a corner like a rat in a trap I can load XP Pro, but I'd rather not.

Thanks

Nevermind.  I'm sure glad I'm not the Windoze guy.  I do Unix, Slowaris (Solaris != Unix) and routing...

The problem, for anyone interested, was I hadn't gotten as far as DirectX 8.1 yet...
