Title: B17 lights up the night sky
Post by: Doberman on March 28, 2002, 12:00:07 AM
This is a short clip of me in my P-51B exploding a wounded B17.   It's encoded with Divx 5 1-Pass Quality Based at 320x240 30FPS.  I can't tell too much quality difference between this clip viewed at 200% and the same thing encoded at 640x480 and viewed at 100%.   And the file size is over half as small.

Though I didn't run it on this, I've found that the VirtualDub Smart Smoother filter found here (http://sauron.mordor.net/dgraft/) can make some clips look better while dropping the file size down even a bit more.

You can encode it with lesser frame rate. An AH film encoded at 30 fps, when 'slowed down' to 20 fps, gives out the 'gun cam effect' :)
