Title: hangar races
Post by: rseltz on March 28, 2002, 10:53:39 AM
has there ever been a hangar race?  I'm just curious to know if anyone has ever flown through all of the hangars on a small field in less than 89.5 seconds (measured from throttle up time on the runway until clear of the fifth hangar)

Never actually thought of it.

Could  be interesting to try in the TA.

Get a few pilots together and race 10 laps, etc like they do in Reno.

What plane?

Hangar racing is for girls. Inverted hangar racing is for real men.

The SEA used to have races every so often, during the old "Check Six" scenarios.  Sometimes they ran with no fighting, sometimes guns were hot.  I think there was even an M3 race once.

Haven't seen one run in awhile though.
