Stalengrad is up and runing for this weekend/next week in the CT, come on in and have some fun:)
-
cool i missed it last time it ran better go polish up my yak 9t :D
-
What's the setup?
-
1942 plane set:
Germans: 109G-2 and earler, FW190A-5, JU 88, Bf 110
Italinas: C 202
Russians La-5, Yak 9t,Huricans, Spit V and IX
GV's for every body and the venerabl C 47, come on in and check it out more detailed info in the CT.
-
Why the Spits? Did the Soviets really have Spit 9s at this point? And how many Spit 5s did they have? We all know whats going to happen: its going to be RAF vs LW instead of VVS vs LW.
-
spit 9s vs. g2's/a5's really captures the spirit of Stalingrad.
-
Hurricanes I can understand. But are the Spits included because it is felt the CT would be empty of Allies without them available?
-
S!
Spit IX's should not be in Setup. Were in short supply in Britain in '42, and weren't exported to Soviets until 'late '43. In fact, the Spit V should be perked at 1 since it was not very common.
Didn't come into large scale use on the Soviet side until the spring of '43 in the Kuban.
-
No IL-2?
-
Just get rid of all spitfires for once...
The VVS stuff can more than compete with the 42 LW stuff.
I can fight hordes of spits in the MA.
-
Why would anybody fly the spits when LA5 is so much better ?
and for what its worth when i was in CT yesterday i did not see loads of spits and the ones i did see died rapidly.
-
Spit IX has been removed from this set up, and the spit V limited to certain fields, I am sory for the mix up My source for veryfying the historical revelance of Spit IX was not a good one:(

NP Brady, thanks for the great job setting up the arena. I have to agree with some, that a spitless scenario would be great sometime, but then again you've got to work with what you have.
Great job, and it is appreciated!

I know you guys go to a lot of work setting up the CT each week, but I am gonna have to sit this one out, again.
What works for others doesn't work for me I guess, I get tired of the constant overcast in the Stalingrad terrain (what, the sun NEVER shined in Russia in the winter??).
Soon as you guys put up another Pac terrain, I'll be back.
Just tired of the "LW in ever CT setup" mentality I guess........
for the work you guys put in, tho! :)

Yeah good job, but I am getting some strange errors, like 'missing shape'.
I didnt see a single spit the last time I flew. Dont think they are too relevant.
And I would like to see pacific sometime, must it always be the lw?
-
Great job Brady!
Just came here from Warbirds, and I am loving the game so far (although I find it a bit harder). Anyway, I was a HUGE booster of the Historical Arena in the good old days, and hope to support the CT whatever the setup
-
pac set ups suk u get a cv parked 2 miles from your base with f6fs ho run to ack ho run to ack.....
That and the pac setups draw in the milkrunners.
we dont have the planeset for a good pac setup.
-
I dont know, I dont ho when I fly my f6f. Now the ki drivers! Those are some ho junkies! Course now they have fixed the firing rate of that 20mm so that may change. Yeah the plane set is lacking, but that ki67 is a real beast in the pacific. we really only need the f4f, sbd, ki84, and kate! For that matter in bob we only had 4 fighters anyway. We have more than that in our pac setup.
Oh also forgot to mention that there are bugs dealing with the hanger too. I would have to jump to a11 or a12 before I could get any kind of hanger view from other bases.
Great map though.
-
I to am ready for a PAC set up, howeaver as I have mentioned before we are desperatly short on maps at the moment, we hope to be geting some good ones soon, and we have a great PAC map in the works I have flown around on the BETA Kuriels map and NUTTZ has done a beautiful job, this will be a Russian vs Japanese plane set for AUG 1945. As Wotan has eluded to our Japanese plane set could use a few more toys, but the adation of the Ki 67 has helped greatly and we hope to bring it to you soon. I do beleave we will be doing Tunisia next week if all goes well. Hopefully soon afte that we can head to the Pacific...Or maybe the CBI...Burma is lovely this time of year:)

are outside views for GV's suppose to work? Noticed yesterday they do ..
-
Why no Il-2? The variant is from 1943, but then so is the La-5FN.
