I don't!!
Night just serves those who adjust monitor and gamma settings, which i refuse to do..

I usually log off. I've tried turning lights off in the room and a few other things. I feel that if the cockpit lights weren't so bright...it would facilitate night action. Since that's not an option......flying at night is chiefly luck, gv , and high alt bomber time. I'll just log until it gets light.

I just log off when night starts, and then log back in a couple of hours later.
I'd play more if it wasn't there.
Ouch out
-
I don't like night. I do not fly at night.
I know a lot of people log off at night. I wonder how many people log off because it's DAY? 0 I'm sure.

I hate night. It is the only thing in game that is guaranteed to make me log off.
-
yah, Knights do suck. :D
but flying around in the dark is kinda cool....
-
I usaully log as soon as it's night unless my buddy on and then I just fly around and chat.

Personal preference. Do not like or appreciate the "night" environment.
Log off and come back later.

it is a good way to get people to try the CT.

The clouds are stupid to,i mean when is it gonna rain? All they do is screw up my fps which average 25-35 with clear skys.Oh yeah I hate the night. :o
-
I really dislike night given the current plane set. On the other hand, HiTech has done such a superb job of implementing night, I for one hate to see it wasted.
We need a few radar equipped planes that assist in the location of IB buffs. Icons go out to 6k (approximately 3.5 miles.) Radar out to 10 miles in enemy territory would make night a fun event.
As it is, yeah, I usually log at nightfall. :(

The night can be frustrating when you find an enemy and he has adjusted his gamma setting thus can see me when I'm blind.
I usually log off or go to a different arena.

i always log when it starts to get dark
it looks cool, but it's just not playable
-
please get rid of night until there's some way to make it dark for everyone not just those who can't adjust their settings.
-
Most can change their settings but many won't.
I just chose to not fly over screwing with my vid card every time night comes.

I hate the night time in AH or anyother ww2 flight sim. Last night I logged on at about 9:30 cst. The MA was dark so I logged to the CT, it was dark too. So I played IL2 for the next 2 hours until bedtime :( I had fun, but I would have had more fun in AH.
-
ooops wrong thread
-
I either just chat with squaddies and friends or log off and do some "honey-do" stuff for a while.
Hey... come to think of it, maybe night does have some value. Seems to get the "boss" off my six if I watch a little TV with her or do a chore or two...
:D
-
Not a fan of night.
Would be cool, though, if we had night-fighting planes and some way of blocking gamma boosting.
-
I log off. I used to stick around during night but something about 1.09 doesn't play nice with my Kyro vidcard.
-
I log off.
-
ok, (getting it out of the way), don't like night either (as posted in CT forum), but:
really think J_A_B's post sound like beginning of Seuss passage:
"I don't like night. I do not fly at night. "
anybody wanna continue it?
my entry:
I do not like the Night
I do not fly at night
I do not think it's right
to never see the fight
to never get in tight
to never see the kite
I's rather see the light
than be lost... in the night

The guys who want to fight hate night. The guys who like to "sneak up" on people like it.

I dont like it
Is it my imagination or has the number of hours of darkness increased per 24 hour peorid
-
Hate it. I often log off when it comes.

Yikes!!!!!...I better not post here...
-
I don't mind night so much. I do HATE the dusk and dawn periods which take FOREVER.
-
Hate it. Log off when its night in the MA. You may like night but nobody logs off due to daylight.
And there are more hate night posts in that other thread than there are like night in here. Votes in. Get rid of night.
-
Night makes it even harder to judge angles and critical distances - something that's not easy on a computer screen at any time. I don't like night, and avoid air to air night combat.
But night is a great time to pilot an Ostwind! You can actually see where the 37mm are going, their yellow tracer lighting up the night sky.
-
I used to love the night but even with the lights switched off, the curtains closed etc., I still find it difficult to see, even more so under cloud cover too!
The thing that annoys me the most though is the clipboard map and the cockpits that are highly illuminated which causes the contrasting bright/dark to kill your eyes and give you a bloody headache. Well it does with me anyway.... Hmm.
Check how bright this cockpit is, it was damn hard to see any icons the panel was that bright!

There used to be a time when it was dark always when I logged on, at that time I hated it. Now it rarely is night when I logon so I dont hate it.
So, if it's dark and I can't see - - > I can't play properly - - > not good.
It's especially annoying if the monitor has already some backlight from sun etc. which renders you practically blind.
-
Well.......I like night......it adds to the game at least makes a cool change....I fly at night for a living so I am right at home...LOL....
I dont change a thing on my vid card however I have adjusted the brightness and contrast on my monitor and it does a WORLD of difference....
I do agree that the dusk/dawn times are a bit long but I deal with it....
My opinion...
-
Night kills my framerate...only way it is playable is to try and find a gv fight.
-
Don't like night. Messes up air-to-air combat.
