Hi, i am new to this game, and just getting started? Can anyone reommend a good fighter to start on? How are the bombers in this game?

Good fighters to start out with are the Spit 9, Spit 5 and N1K2.

Ignore the comments of "dweeb ride" and such.  They're all good for learning the basics of AH, the FM and gunnery.   The F6F is also pretty good, and its larger ammo load is also helpful.

Bombers are both powerful and weak at the same time.  They're powerful in that their defensive guns can really put a "big hurt" on an attacking fighter, but weak in the sense that they don't get any special bonuses to absorb damage (unlike in, say, AW).

LOL!  Just start picking fighters randomly.  Maybe based on ones you are interested in from WWII (presuming there are any), and stick with the one that you like.
