Should be the Blohm und Voss BV 40. Those 2 had some crazy ideas :)

Dimensions:
Wing span: 7.90m (25 ft. 11 in)
Length: 5.70m (18 ft. 8½ in.)
Height: 1.66m (5 ft. 4½ in.)

Weights:
Empty: 1,844 lb. (836kg)
Maximum: 2,094 lb. (950kg)
Performance:
Maximum Speed:
344 mph (553km/h) when towed by a single Bf 109G
315 mph (507km/h) when part of pair towed by Bf 109G
Anticipated Dive Speed In Free Flight: 560 mph (900km/h) Time to climb to 23,000 ft. (7000m): 12 mins. (1 Bv 40);
Armament:
Two 30mm MK 108 each with 35 rounds

Growing desperation stemming from the destruction wrought by the Allied bomber swarms, the Bv 40 was a desperate solution. The Bv 40 was to be towed above a bomber formation either singly or in pairs by a Bf 109G. The Bv 40 would be released and would then commence a diving attack on the formation. The pilot sat in a heavily armored cockpit and would pilot the aircraft to an unpowered landing on a skid

From the looks of other "Glider Fighters" that were used, this one looks to be the only one that might surivive in the MA. So what do ya think?

A glider fighter??? Oh come on....before introducing such an useless half-plane we should have the Me163 Komet. That could be used in the role of point defense interceptor. Imagine all those nasty B17 coming high to bomb your airbase and their horror when a rocket powered interceptor climbs up to them and puts them big guns on their soft fat bellies.

This is a point defence interceptor, and it has the same guns as the Me163. In a dive it will do about 500-550, which is similar to the me163's dive. Also, this will be a lot more surivable. If the Me163 took a hit to the fuel tanks, forget it, it's done. This has no fuel tank, so it will last a lot longer than any Me163. This is also heavily armored.

we need the Bachem BA 349. 24 73mm rockets plus a 42,520 ft./mn. climb speed.:D :p
-
I would love to see one of those. Except in WWII, the allies overran the factory, and none ever flew in actuall combat. But hey, you can fly it in "Resturn to Castle Wolfenstine" :)
-
Nah we just need the Mig21 ;) it will get to 5k meters (16,400 ft) in just about 2 mins and 18.5k meters (61,000ft) in 7.5 minutes. And it does 1,300 mph too boot hehehe. Just what we need for them strato buffs. And you just can't beat them Soviet twin NR-30 30mm cannons for popping bombers !!
Oopss sorry wrong era ;) Too bad it was 13 years too late.
Hehehe I just got a new Mig21 book this week, and I couldn't help myself :)

how about a player controlled V1 and V2 :)
-
I'd love to see the Me163. Of course every time you get in it there's about a 20% chance it'll just decide to self destruct and take you with it.
Trying to remember the name of the book I read while I was supposed to be working at the University. "Rocket Pilot" comes to mind. Written by one of the original Me163 pilots who actually lived.
There's nothing wrong with Strato-bombing. Set the auto-pilot, go back into the crews lounge and make dinner, watch a movie, take a nap. Get up, do the bomb run, then go home. No beeg deal :D

A few players have been asking for gliders since the C47 came aboard, thoughts along the lines of allowing a small tank, LVT's, M16's etc.(Horsa or Gigantica) to be towed deep into enemy territory. Imagine the possibilities...
-
Hehe, i could just imagine an m16 being dropped over a buzy enemy base... :)
-
U guys wanting gliders here.. just cut yer engine and set RPM to min to lower drag from propellor and there u have it!
Almost all planes glide here better than they should be , so if real glider added here it prolly could even climb while accelerating without updraft :D

Well, you realize of course he'd probably be shot down before the crate was "auto-unloaded" before it hit the ground, by either enemy A/C or friendly AA. So, that would be a bad choice, and the Goon would probably be shot down while towing it there.

If you have better real life data than HTC uses, send it in to them...they will evaluate it. Otherwise, your just posting "an opinion".

In fact, the last time someone started complaining that the planes gliding too far, and they used the P-51 as an example, Pyro produced a glide chart for the plane that matched the numbers in AH exactly. Imagine that ! ;)
-
Only 1 question: How many perks would I get for towing your glider up there? :D If its 5 or more then ok im for puting gliders in ;)
But mistels would be nice too... We have 109s we have Ju88s... lets mix them up and we have a Mistel :) Im just not sure if the Ju88 self propeled bomb would fit into the Bf-109 arming hangar screen :)

LJK, I laughed when I saw the remark about the V1 and V2, but then I suddenly thought: why the hell not?
Severely limited, yatta yatta (any side can only launch one every half hour, etc., and they weren't all that destructive anyway), maybe not for the MA, yatta yatta, but that could sure be a hoot, trying to down them.
