ive seen several others in my squad have the same problem but now its me. On AHvoice i hear all of them but i cant transmit. my system and voice has always worked since the release of 1.09 i was the first in my squad to have it set up and have to use mic boost to be heard. now why, out of the blue, is it a problem where i cant transmit but yet i can hear everyone else?
is anyone else having this problem in AHvoice............

Double check that you have correctly mapped your transmit keys.
I had a similar problem, remapping the keys fixed it.

i keep having the same problem. you lose your mic or it goes soft. you then go back and double check all the settings (which are ok) uncheck them and recheck them, and then it works for a while, then it fails. Of course the only thing anyone will tell you here is to check your settings which from what myself and others in my squad are seeing its the program and not our hardware.

The mic softness is do to a bug in dx8. It some how mess with mic boost. Altabing unchecking and rechecking the boost clears the problem.
Make sure you are using wave in if you have this problem.

well HT i tried everything in the book even rebooting after everychange. Another squad member of mine is having the exact same problem. like i said before my voice has always worked since the release of 1.09 patch 1 and 2. aleof a sudden it still wont work at all. they see me transmit icon hear the beep but no voice.

It sounds like you have something running that uses the recorder.
Your problem is exactlly what happens to AHvoice when I have GameCommander running, exactlly!
Are you sure there is nothing else running in the background using the recorder?
PS:if you have a USB mic unplug it and replug it. Might check the mic connection anyway to be sure it is connected, USB or not.

interesting! i wonder if this has anything to do if ahvoice beta had once been installed, even though its not now.

I am having the same problem - AHV worked wonderfully for me right off the bat and then about a week ago I lost the ability to transmit and I can only hear 50% of whats being said... I checked all the obvious potential problems.. no luck - ideas?

i found the problem after noticng i couldnt record waves from voice.
the was a version of ROGEr WILCO some how i downloaded that was just on my system. i was never running when this problem occured but for some reason it was the piece disrupting my transmition. once i deleted it ever thing was fine. i dont know how it got on my system as when 1.09 came out i deleted all traces of RW.
so if your haveing problwem lke i described most likley you have some other program using the wave recorder.
ty for all your help guys

Boxboy, you might want to tell us how you traced down your problem. It would help others if you went through it step by step how you went about resolving your problem, thanks in advance.
