Title: looking for a good computer voice mail system
Post by: Sancho on March 31, 2002, 12:42:43 PM
I would like to set up some type of automated phone screening system.  Here is what I envision.  My modem answers the phone and gives the caller a voice menu, "if you know the extension you may enter it now, or hold to leave a message."  If the caller dials the right extension, my phone then rings, other wise they get to leave VM.  I think a system like this would allow me to avoid all these damn telemarketers.  The system could also check caller ID info and allow in calls from numbers I specify without requiring them to enter the extension.

Question is, anybody know of software that can do something like this?

I know that with Winfax Pro you can set up options for pressing numbers.  I don't know if it will do extensions tho'.  I bet Symantec has a trial download of it on their site.
