Title: Does your connection to the arena affect where you take damage?

The reason I ask this is that last night, without fail, the first ping I took would always end up with a pilot wound.  This had never happened before, particularly in the Hellcat where I would almost always lose a gun first.  Also, when 1.09 came out, and the connects were bad, I was losing the tail on my F6F almost every time I got hit.  Don't know if this is one of those strange coincidences or what.

Any ideas?  Just curious.

I had the same thing last week in the CT arena.Must of had 4-5 pilot wounds in an hr.

Haven't seen it like that since.

Mathman:
I had a similar occurence with the F4U; I started to lose 1 gun each time I took a ping. It didnt matter what the situation was eg. head on, dead six or snapshot, I always lost 1 gun in the F4U and not in any other plane I flew.
