Not really lobbying a point, just wondering why
every on-line combat sim has more than 2 countries(sides)
Just a matter of more choices? or what?
And why not 2 country(sided) system:confused:

hehe..i reply to my own post..
now we need a general quarters alarm for the ships.:D

Just a guess, but I think the reasoning is that it spreads people out. If there were only two sides, there could really be only one fight, not three fights minimum. That could create lag problems and break the 32 visible plane limit (if AH still uses that same limit that Warbirds suffered from).

why not FOUR countries?
-
Why not an arena only with NDISLES and every island would be a single country? :D OK i need a break... ;)

I've always felt each squad deserves its own country. So, what's that, only about 400 or so? Doable, surely. Then fighting for a side would actually mean something! :D

Thats prolly true.
I just wonder if a 2 country system would promote more
strategy. I think the constant changing in allegences, also
means a constant changing in strategy.

Two countries would quickly denigrate into a VERY lopsided game. With 3 you tend to avert a great deal of the problem, if you have 2 countries and one has 100 players and the other has 300....almost everyone would join the 300 country for perks, fun, and score.
Four countries becomes redundant and offers no real benifit over 3.
