After a two week layoff, Wild Wednesdays return to the Special Events Arena starting tonight at 10pm EST (yup, still standard time for another few days!)
To restart the event, we'll be going with one of our 1.09 planes that's, IMO, just perfectly suited for this event: the Hurricane Mk. Ia. A fantastic turner, and with only 0.303 cal MGs, it should prove interesting!
The new terrain is ready to go (without the observation tower, tho :( ) and should keep the fights intense. Those alt monkeys will find a nice windy surprise if they hit 26,000 ft... ;)
Same rules as always...
Loadout of the Hurri Mk. Ia is up to each player.
You'll have a few minutes to take off from a field and position yourself inside the cage (killshooter is ON during this time.)
Killshooter will be turned OFF and the fight ON! :D
You must bail (or auger) immediately when out of fuel OR ammunition.
The first person to win two rounds is the overall winner of the event, and will pick next week's plane. If no one wins two rounds at the end of 90 minutes, we'll have one final round with just the round winners to guarantee a two round winner. :) (this will be really spiffy if we ever get the observation tower back!)
Sorry for the late notice on this, but I hope to see you there tonight for some early war Hurricane furballin' fun for 90 minutes!
oh yeah, I'll be running tonight's show... ;)

I plan on being there!
WHOOOHOOO!
one question... lets say (in my dreams) i win could i pick a GV for next weeks match or does it have to be a plane?

hehe, once you see the terrain, you'll see that GVs would be kinda difficult to get into the "cage." :D Yup, fighters only for this event. Maybe one day we'll see about a GV Wild Wednesday (dueling terrain perhaps) or a B-26 day. ;)

Nit pick incoming:
Its a Hurricane Mk I.
There was no Hurricane Mk Ia that I ever heard of.
The Spitfire Mk I had 4 .303s.
The Spitfire Mk Ia had 8 .303s.
There were no 4 .303 armed Hurris.
