I've always wondered what you guys (and gals) did before AH (or Warbirds)?
I think HT told me once that he was in engineering, but I've always kind of wondered about Pyro??? (I'm guessing he was a stand-up comedian. :D )
-
HT and Pyro were the driving force behind Warbirds for years.
At least that's where I first (ahem) ran into them. When WB did the big implosion thing I kept track of all three fragments, ended up with HT's.
-
Before that they were AW players I believe. I think it all started not long after HT wrote the AW film thingy.
But I'm sure some of the grizzled old AW vets will step in here and enlighten us... or one of the HTC crowd themselves. :)
-
Pyro served your country (if you are in the US) with a stint in the US Coast guard.
I remember this other bastige from AW that used to shell us on the runway with his tank from a couple miles away...
-
Coast Guard? I suppose it would not do my standing at HTC any good to start in on the standard comments Blue Water Navy people toss off at the Coast Guard, would it? :D
I have some really nice photos of a cutter we 'escorted' from Perl to San Francisco 'way back in '85. Then again, when we did a medivac to Perl on a couple squids from a tender headed to Japan it was a Coast Guard C-130 and a helo that met us at their maximum range to pick them up. The C-130 handled navigation and refueling of the helo. Pretty impressive, and EXPENSIVE, operation for a guy who got a piece of sanding grit in his eye. We turned 30(+) knots for seven days to get in range.

You have to be six feet tall to join the Coast Guard. That way ff your boat sinks you can wade back to shore.

HiTech has a quote in my DOS AW flight manual... don't have it handy though.

Before AH, we all worked at iMagic Online (Warbirds) together.
Before Warbirds, I was just out of college broke and living with my parents. :) Nate and I graduated together from Art Isntitute of Dallas.
-
To prepare for their current jobs, Hitech managed an insane asylum and Pyro studied child psychology and babysitting technology.
-
Prior to starting up the HTC team, HiTech taught writing 121 at Texas. He was fired after 1 term.

Gosh, I don't remember Warbirds being all that bad.
-
Pyro was a puddle pirate?! :D Hey, what does someone say when they fall off the back of a Coast Guard boat? "Come on in, it's only knee deep"! :D :D
-
graduated art inst. in 96........ sat on my bellybutton and drank beer all summer, then got a job at FlightSafety that fall......... worked there for a year before going to iMagic..... at iMagic, I worked on Warbirds, Dawn of Aces, and Raider Wars for a year and a half. Then on to HTC for the last 3 years come April 12th.

here it is:
"[The] basic goal of shooting is a steady hand. Practice not bouncing around the point you want to shoot at. When shooting, try to remain calm and picture pulling to your target versus jumping to it."

Is that the place I see ads for on TV where if you can draw a little picture, they'll take you ;) Opps, maybe I'm thinking of something else, like the schools with a degree signed by Sally Struthers :p :p :p

Wanna put $20 on the game this year?!?!
Oh, and your little friend Roy Williams wants to be a Cowboy...... see, deep down he wishes he was from Texas.
HOOK'EM HORNS!

Ah... I thought he was talking about UO spanking Texas. It gets tough trying to keep track of just who is humiliating them lately.

Something must have changed recently. Since when did Texas need help being humiliated?

93C? We may have spoken about 11 years ago. I was in 11th Aviation Brigade, attached to 2nd ACR over there, flying in Hueys and OH58s.
-
Yankee, now I need to find out what our Reg guy's callsign was. He drove F111s during that war.
My nephew is a tank driver now, from what I hear.
Army, Army, and Coast Guard.
*sigh* :D
-
I was a Walmart greeter. However, they didn't think I was very good at it for some reason and fired me.
