I'm having troulbes with frame stutters in AH high. My frame rates stay pretty steady at 60 fps ( vsync on) at 1280x1024 32 bit. But every few seconds the graphics stutter (this is not just around bases and smoke but flying by myself with no one else in sight it still does this). Just wondering if anyone else out there is experiencing this trouble. My system specs are:
Solotek sl-75drv2 mobo
xp1600
using onboard sound
256 MB DDR
Radeon 8500 OEM clocked to 270/270 using 9021 beta drivers and Windows ME.
Anti Aliasing set to program preference and so is Anisotropic filtering.
I've tried various drivers from Omega and the 9023's but it didn't seem to help.
Thanks for the help.

The latest ATI drivers worked fine for me. I also used powerstrip to overclock the card but after testing it, it didn't seem that overclocking did more than 1 or 2 frame rate improvment.

Im new to ATI cards, bought an 8500 retail a few days ago. I am using the 6043 drivers from here http://redsoftware.cloaking-software.com/
Make sure you dont have your modem connection Icon in the task bar, this can cause stutering
