You mean in the middle of some of them military ranges?

Well, SirLoin, the problem is determining actual ownership. I think they really belong to (came from) Jordan, but that only depends on how far back in History you go. Here I have only gone back to 1967 when the cease fire was established.
Historically, the issue began in the time immediately following the great flood. That's pretty far back. In those days, the land was known as Canaan. It was Noah's sons that would repopluate the Earth. But, as they were settling in the land, Noah had become a farmer and had planted a vineyard. He drank the wine, was drunk, and became naked (probably a joke played upon him by Ham) in his tent. Ham (the father of Canaan) told his brothers who honored their father by covering their eyes, entering his tent, and covering his nakedness.
When Noah awoke he said:
"Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants He shall be to his brethren."
Ham established Canaan (modern day Israel), even though the land was supposed to go to Shem. He stole it, because he coveted it.
We know that the rod of Shem was carried down through the generations, until the time of Joseph. It was lost until Moses discovered it in Ethiopia. Today it is probably in the Ark of the Covenant (buried somewhere under Jerusalem). Shem is an ancestor of Israel.
So, you could say this has been going on for something like fifty centuries, and probably longer.

My vote goes to Madagascar. If that proves too complicated we can try to find another solution

Why don't we just ship the Israelis back to the USA and Europe?
But wait a minute, the day Sharon steps inside the EU he'll be arrested for crimes against humanity - so that leaves you guys. Are you prepared to stamp the passport of a self-confessed genocidal maniac? ;)
I'm sure he'll be in good company though. Afterall, members of the Real IRA were given free passage into and around the States until VERY recently, despite murdering dozens of people a few years ago (Omagh bombing).
-
I'd take him over fish face Arafat the terrorist anyday
-
Yes - send this fat monster Sharon to Europe.
Then he can be arrested for his war crimes and Nazi-like terrorist acts.
Maybe he will be put in the same jail as Milosevic... :D

You know, it amazes me how everyone is going on against Israel. No one has said a thing against Jordan.
Israel has maybe 10% of Palestinian land, and that as a buffer zone? Jordan has 60% of Palestinian land. Go squeak at Jordan. Israel has done what it can to ALLOW the Palestinians to stay, after all it is one of the few places Palestinians can get water. However, Palestinians are the worst tenants you can imagine.
I know several archeologists that frequent the area. It's their job. I've asked them if it's safe to travel there. They answered that Israel is really nice, but that Arab territory is Liberty City, Miami. You don't go there. If, you leave your car, kiss it goodbye. If you're unarmed, you might escape with your life, maybe. You certainly won't have any possessions left.
Israel belongs where it is. Palestine? Robbers, thieves, murderers, and terrorists? They belong in exile.

Ski, go hand manipulate your pleasure center, moron. That was the most ludicrous and insulting thing you could say to me. Piss off! Are you taking lessons on how to be an absolute love muffin?
My trash ex-wife was a crank addict, and I don't have ANY appreciation for jokes concerning drugs.
If, you don't believe there was ever a flood, I suggest you do some research.
Grow up while you're at it.

Well, I'm pretty certain there were already many Jews in the region before WW2. But yeah, it's after WW2 that a great many from Europe migrate to the region. So this wouldn't solve the entire problem.
And like someone else pointed to, Jordan, Egypt and Syria took (stole) "Palestinian" lands during that initial attack right after Israel declared itself a state. Jordan still holds some, though I'm not sure about Syria. If this was really about lands, then I think we'd be hearing more about that big fact. But in my opinion, this goes deeper than lands and is really about a difference in religion and a belief that those different from yourself need to be exterminated. It's always been ONLY about killing Israelis.

depends on which map you are looking at or which history you are reading ..
"Officially" I don't think Palestine as a "country" does exist today.

Just like the Jews Herr Gruppenfuhrer Voss! Heil Hitler!
Right Voss? Or maybe the Blacks? Or surely the Mexicans?

Ski, you are welcome to live in ignorance. You have no strength in argument, but rely in trashing my reputation in response.
Easter Bunny? No. GOD? Yes. I look at the perfection of the Universe, and I see evidence of GOD. I can see why you might dispute the existence of GOD. After all, it means you're going to face a final judgment someday.
I accept that the first five books of the Bible were dictated to Moses by GOD. I accept that the original Hebrew text is mathematically perfect. I find it impossible that any Human of the time could create such a perfect text. I accept that the Hebrew text is the most accurate account of history that is available to us. Likewise, I do not believe that the English version holds to that perfection. I do not accept that every interpretation within the English version of events came across precisely. I do accept that it is close enough.
You are free to disagree. Just don't strap dynamite to your hairy butt and frag my kids at the mall, okay?
BTW, you have to READ the bible in order to know the subject. You cannot go by Hollywood's interpretation.
-
mathmatically perfect ? how is text mathmatically perfect ? and why would a god write a text that must be understood to complete his plan in a archaic language that mayby 500 people in the world can read .
p.s. im not trying to insult you. the fist concept i am unfamiliar with ( other that some storys about the kaballa that seemed pretty hoaky quite frankly) and the second just seems like a good question
-
Okay, Grun, maybe I went too far. My point was hidden, of course.
If, the Palestinians get their country back tomorrow, they'll be right back suicide-bombing Israel that same day. Why? Because this isn't about land, it never was. It's about killing Jews.
Hau ab, du Wichtigtuer!

Even in 3312 B.C. (the year of the Exodus) there were more than five-hundred people that could read Hebrew. At the time the Jewish people had a covenant with GOD establishing them as the favored people (Genesis 17). There is nothing in the Bible that states everyone must read, understand, and live by the Bible in order for HIS plan to come about. That's not what it is about.
I can't teach you Hebrew, and discussing the Torah without that revelation is pointless. However, you can read about Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson), who came so very close to mathematical perfection in his prose, and essays. Check out the original text of "Alice's Adventures Underground." Dodgson was a mathematician and set down many poem's and prose with a mathematical basis.
Mathematics is a language too, you know?

fd ski, is it THIS Voss that the news posts you linked up is referring to???? No way....

Once I asked my ortodox jewish friend if he ever talked to a christian priest about religion.
He says:what can they tell me?They`ve never even read the bible.
In hebrew the first commandment "don`t murder".
In any other language it`s "don`t kill".

What arrogance! I hear those orthodox jew nazis even attack other jews if they drive on the Sabbath, apparently the police in Israel must block off some streets to prevent attacks.
What a load of nuts we got in that area........

*sigh*
Try to read a book or something Pei...you might learn a thing or two. There is no, and there never has been any, palestinian state.
The thing called Palestine that existed before 1948 was a British protectorate, not a country, not a nation...a British protectorate.
There is no palestinian state today, and there probably never will be. Which is fine. There are too many unsolvable issues that would need to be solved before any Pal state could be created.
Let me just mention the 4 big ones.
1) Water rights
2) Jerusalem
3) Palestinian refugees
4) Jewish settlers
These 4 questions will not be settled by diplomacy or negotiations. So the pals will continue to squeak about their dreams, they will continue to blow civilians up. But they wont ever get that country they yearn for so bad. Sooner or later there will probably be another war in that region, and once again the Israelis will kick some serious arab butt.
What the pals fail to realize is that the only way they'll ever get a country of their own is when people like me ( =public opinion in the western world) wants them to have one. And guess what, suicide bombers and support for Saddam Hussein aint the way to coinvince me that they should have their own country.

Hmm... Palestine couldn't be considered a real country or nation because it was a British protectorate... like Egypt, Kuwait, the UAE, Iraq, Bahrain, Yemen, Somaliland, Aden, Qatar, Oman, Uganda, Nigeria, the Maldives, Ghana, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Malaysia, Sierra Leone, ... etc etc.
Well that's got me convinced

actually it is elfenwolf. Question is whether its balls, stupidity or arrogance on his part that he didn't change the nick...
With all his posts I'm leaning to stupidity theory.

It's amazing how people "invent" themselves on the Internet in an effort to impress other people they will, in all liklihood, never even meet. There's a few others on the BBS that need to be "outed" after they've made comments like "I've given my share- and then some- to my Country" as if they were in a war or something. Personally I'd like to see a few copies of certain individuals' DD-214s so we can see exactly what these "war heroes" did, but then again, who gives a rat's ass?
Of course I lied on my profile, so maybe I shouldn't talk. I'm not really a Rap Artist Dairy Farmer from Wisconsin. (hangs head) In fact I've never even been to Wisconsin, rap music sucks and cows scare the toejam out of me. Somehow I thought the idea of a 50 year old rapping to cows was funny, but in hindsight it sounds kinda stupid to claim to be something like I claimed to be. I apologize to all fans of cows, rap music and the Green Bay Packers for my deceitfulness.
Actually I live in Sacramento where I am a professional beggar. I hold up an "I'll Work For Food" sign all day, and when the weather is nice I clear 5 bills a day. My wife is a beggar also, and together we clear enough to live in a 2,000 sq. ft. house and we have a vacation cottage at Tahoe. I paid cash for my Lexus and I could afford to take flying lessons if I wasn't so terrified of heights. There...I feel much better now.

Just a hypothetical. What if the Arab countries around Israel got their stuff together and destroyed Israel. Would they give the Palestinians a state?

lol Elfenwolf. Thanks for the chuckle. :D
