Title: need help with satek hat wiring
Post by: lord dolf vader on April 09, 2002, 04:12:58 AM
hi all looking for some help if anyone has the inclination .

im going to buy a saitek x45 tommorow so i decided to try and fix the old one. the saitek has 2 has and one on mine is bad. after 2 years the  view swiches are basicaly not any good on the main hat. so i got the idea to take the switches of the second hat ( that i never use) had to unsolder them but it worked. unfortunatly i managed to disconnect 5 wires from the circuit board and cant for the life of me figgure out how im gonna find the correct spots to reatach these wires .

so if anyone knows where i can find a diagram of this board ( with wire colors)  i think i have a way to really extend the life of this stick. or a old one they want to take a picture of for me :)

thanks in advance

i got it goin , turns out there is another board in the handle. and the wires are labled on both boards i.e.  each has a letter next to the solder point on both. i just matched the wires to their appropriate point and its like i have a new stick.

except the silocon/hotglue they spread all over the boards to secure the wires is a squeak to remove with out ripping out the wires themselves.

not even going to buy a new one seems fine, noone is more suprised my self.

thanks for the responce.
