Heh, Rip. the day you see your P-61B is probably the same day I get my H8K2 Emily. :)

Puck as usual you attempt to correct someone and still get it wrong.

Spelling should be A-26.:D

I thought it was P47M.  At least that's the Canadian spelling. Metric I believe.  ;)

I don't know how accurate the anecdotes are, but if they are correct, it will turn on a dime when it is low/slow with flaps out :)

I would love to kill Spitfires with a slower heavier aircraft. Who can complain about armament equal to the Mosquito: 4x20mm concentrated in the belly with 4x0.50 cal in the turret (could we have an option to lock the turret forward and fire it with the 20mms? I don't remember if the real aircraft could do that, but it sure would be sweet).

I would rather see the P-40B/C before the P-61, but I am happy with any and all aircraft HTC releases.

I don't know guys, kinda reminds me of an overweight P-38 in need of a nose job.

Given the American belief in making bigger better fighters: more range, more firepower, more armor, etc., I wonder why we never made a 4-engine fighter. Maybe they could have shortened up a B-29, clipped the wings some, gave it full strength maneuvering flaps, WEP for the engines, and more 20mms in the nose than you can imagine...

In the end we ended up with fighters in the size and weight class of the B-17: the F-14 and F-15. Both of which can carry more ordnance than the Queen of the Skies.

Yes. Bring P61. Make it the 38 equivalent of the CHOG. And perk it too (6 perks) :)

Curly, with all due respect, I've heard that line repeated thru 3 MMOG flight sims dating back to 1989. Thank you.

ok although i dont really like the look of it much it is a most unusual aircraft and it seems HTC is trying to add the more unusual or rarer aircraft that have not been seen in previous simulators.

I did admittedly have a sudden realisation of a PERFECT role for it in AH.

im assuming that turret on top is fully traversable?

if so I got 3 letters for the black widow...........

N-O-E !!!

can you imagine the fun that could be had in this plane if it was employed as an absolute nap of the earth attack aircraft?????

if you had a good 2 man team from AH playing in this baby!!! one really good low level flyer with a decent gunner could fly aroundat 0 alt with impunity! the low level will hide it from radar and make it impossible to attack from below, the fantastic 4x50caliber machine guns covering all but the most vertical of attacks! this thing would be untouchable! HO it and you face 4 hispanos, dive from vertical and you either hit the floor on pull out or the pilot uses its excellent manouverability to push you into the gunners line of sight and pow suddenly you are peppered almost as badly as any b17!

you say it wouldnt have a role in AH? RADARSMADAR!!!! :D

this thing would be feared more than 3 N1Ks all around you :)

I always wondered why they didnt call it "Super Lightning".. this thing was a vastly improved 38. They made a "Chain Lightning" one but it sucks compared to this puppy :)
