I'm pretty sure that they used Naval guns and machined them for Railmounts. Usually Krupp works did the job. Now known as Krup, imagine that, Artillery makers prior to WWII and now coffee makers and other home appliances.

AFAIK they still manufacture guns like one in M1A1 Abrams.

how did they aim that? hope the track points the right way?

a closer look makes it seem like it's suspended between 2 cars... it may have some sort of slide on each car that lets it aim ~20 degrees in either direction
