:D It looks like my store will be able to get these in (soon?) near $264 plus ~20-25 pounds shipping (covers insurance & freight surcharges). Is anyone interested? We don't want to order too many as these are expensive.

Anyone interested? I am just an employee who begged his boss to try to get these in, however if we can't sell 3 or so she may just pass on this...

Im interested but do you have them or not?

From what I can gather from Cougar World, they won't be shipping to US distributors until the end of the month. Aaron at Flight Sim Central mentioned that his tentitive, maybe, could be, hopefully ship date from him to his customers would be May 5.

I am trying to get a feel for how many we may be able to sell. That's why I asked if anyone was interested. I don't want to have the store owner go out on a limb and then have to eat $1000 worth of product. I work for a small computer shop in Westland Michigan and I am pretty sure $264 is a good price. If anyone here in MI, or North America is interested, you can drop an email to:

Thanks again,

I doubt you'll have a problem selling any that you get in the store, as the initial production run will be limited. If they fail to sell locally or here, you'd surely have buyers at http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=38

Worst case scenario, if you can't move 'em, throw em up on E-bay. You may not get your entire investment back, but you won't get comepletely hosed.
I'm interested in the Cougar, but I don't know enough about it. I've had some problems with TM in the past.
If you could point me in the direction where I can read some reviews about it, I might buy one from you.

The reason I ask if you have them is that if you dont have a commitment from a distributor, you wont likely get any so It doesnt matter if you order or not. You will not likely get any from the first production run.

I'm interested if they really appear...

If we want them we can get them; when they become available. This store has been in business for years and we have a good relationship with our distributors. As the the E-Bay thing, we stopped carrying games and joysticks at our store years ago; we now sell hardware, systems and OS'es, and I would not want to jeapordize my job or the store's future by making purchases we can't make at least a small profit on.
The owner said she would purchase them if I told her we could sell them, so if 5 people raise their hands and tell me they are at least 50%, I will go for it. I have been reading these boards and the alt.games.pc.ibm.flight-sim boards for years and most everyone here seems to be reasonable, and community oriented.
I currently have one definite and I see one maybe. Three more to go...

i have it and the cougar is a state of the art hotas.
the programming software is great. best is, if you get it, download a config file (maybe you modify it then), otherwise you need some time to program a propsim/ah setting. very helpful are the many coolie hats, so you can have views, trim and all what you need in both hands. if you can afford the 320,- eur or a bit less than 300 us$ its a great help.
but if you love and fly jetsims too, you can really use the huge possibilities and its not only a help then f.e. for falcon4.0/sp, - itīs a must!
the stick needs relatively large force (maybe the spring is a bit hard) but if you used to, itīs ok.
