Title: Oldschool Overclockers Rejoice
Post by: DoctorYO on April 21, 2000, 08:02:00 AM
For your information, Thresh and FiringSquad had a article on how to get that old 300a/BH6 upgraded to a Celron II 566 OC'd to 877mhz....

Not bad for under 200 beans....

Read for yourself...

DoctorYO,

Thanks for the link, great article.

Any idea where you can get one of these Celron IIs?  All the sites I have don't show the Celron FC PGA and the article didn't mention where to get on.

This looks like just what I'm looking for. (I have a Celron 300@450mhz on a BX-6r2 board)

I had a 300a @ 450 on a bh6 non 1.1 rev.
i wanted to get a p3 600e(coppermine 100fbs)
but Abit said my bh6 didnt support coppermines due to its volt requirement.
well i checked some OC sites and saw
some 600es being used in bh6s so i got me
1. im now running p3 600e @ 800mhz @ 1.70
volts rock steady. im only at 133fbs cause
thats as high as my bh6 will go on fbs.
Quaility Ram and video card, and sound card
will help u OC.

There is not realy a thing as a "celery II" it's just a new factory design that is replacing the old ones...

"celery II" is just a nickname.  The Coppermine celeries are different from the previous celerons in many aspects.  The nick fits.
