Title: Still having fun after a year!
Post by: Nifty on April 18, 2002, 01:15:57 PM
:D  Been playing this game just at a year now, and I'm still loving it!  I'm still a scrub pilot at best, but sometimes I get into little zones and can shoot down about 3 newbies in a row!  ;)

HTC and the community for a year filled with a lot of fun, laughs, kills and fiery deaths!

Special salute to the 332nd Flying Mongrels, without whom I probably would never have had as much fun as I did.  :)  I mean, what other squad (besides the FDB) would let you frag them in a Tour of Duty?  :D

Looking forward to another year of mayhem as I try to catch up the Ripsnort's post total!

ps - fly in Wild Wednesdays!  ;)

I'm not surprised. I would think that someone living in the heart of US naval aviation would take to this like it was second nature! :)

I've been to the Nat'l Museum of Naval Aviation up there.  I parked the wife in the gift shop and cafeteria and spent the whole day photo'ing the planes.  We even saw the Blue Angels practicing their routine (now that was cool!) and took a trolley tour of the hangar facilities around back.  If only the Navy would relinquish its claim to abandoned aircraft so that more private investors could restore them....

Nifty you've come a long ways in a year in more than one way. Keep up the good work bud!

WTG Nifty,, I'm right behind you,  I'll hit my first year in June.   This game is just as much fun now as it was when I started.

Here's to another fun year.

My favorite thing to do is fly weeds low in the La7 looking for SA challenged individuals, especially around enemy fields.

This Mongrel can easily say the squadron is that much richer because of you.  I think I'm at my 1-year next month.  Not sure if my respite away from the game is helping my skills though.

Same here!  :)  Although I first started in October 2000, I was mainly an Air Warrior at the time and couldn't get away with the differences at first.  Then I returned just over a year ago (playing both until the end....) and I am still logging in every night for my daily dose of AH!  :D
