Title: Mic trouble
Post by: Vespa on April 21, 2002, 04:31:03 AM
Hi guys,
I have a trouble with my microphone. I bought a new PC, Motherboard ASUS P4266, P4 2G 512M RAM, Sound Blaster Audigy, Creative GeForce4 Titanium. I have installed my old microphone that worked so good on my odl PC. When I run the game I can hear other pilots speaking but nobody can hear me:confused: . Do anyone knows about driver trouble for my PC configuration?
Thanks for reply

Hi Vespa

Does the manufacturer of the mic have a website where you can get instructions on how to get it to work if you have problems?

Is it a USB mic?

You sure you have the mic plugged into the correct port on your soundblaster card?

Is the mic muted in the Windows volume control thingie?

Can you record anything in the sound recorder in windows?

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head. Hopefully something in here will lead you to the problem.

Good luck! :)

Try reducing sound acceleration full left if you have to

Control Panel
Multimedia
Audio
Advanced
Performance tab  (i think)

Search on google for Roger Wilco.   Download the shareware version.  Do the setup routine.  Not that you will use ROger Wilco - but the setup routine will corrrectly setup your microphone for AH voice (as well as anything else).

Once you are finished  you can then delete Roger Wilco.   HiTEch needs to come up with a similar configuration untility - but I am sure he has plenty busy with other things.
