It started out as a little Roject by Santa to have the worst JG54 pilot prove that flying allied planes doesn't require any pilot skills.

Whatever my current ride is, is my favorite (I love em all!)  Alot of times, I will decide which airframe I'll mount by the type of beer I have open, if its German beer, I go with LW aircraft, Japanese beer...you get the point.

Well, I'm still in my free trial period so I've only done 100 or so sorties, but so far:

I started with the Spitfire IX just to get a feel for the flight model.  Got most of my kills in that.

Got a few kills in a P-51D just to get a feel for high-speed maneuvers.  Got 2nd most kills in that.

Took 1 ride in the B26 just to try some low-level attacks. Took out a vehicle base but got budkus kills from it.  Had a lot of fun, though.

Now I've been flying in a new ride that combines the best parts of all three of the above airplanes.  Don't want to disclose it, though, because then everybody will be flying it and it'll lose its novelty...

The best ride is the YAK-9U IMHO. :)

But the guns suck, so given that I like to kill,...

The F4UD.

Why?  Because it is Blue, it is a Marines' plane, it is only 1 of the 2 Corsairs that ain't perked (tells you how deadly the F4U really is, and I'll bet HTC is looking at perkin it just for general purposes) it is very deadly if flown fast... it turns well with speed.

BUT mainly, I like to tear opponents apart with 50s rather one hit kills with cannons. :D

Raking a bogey several times with 50s increases their anquish, death by a 1000 slashes :)   Only thing that beats a 50 cal. is hosing them down with the 30 cals in a Seafire. :D

Also, it carries a respectable JABO load for those who get into that sort of thing.

Personally I hope no one else flys it so it doesn't end up being perked ;)

On second thought, the F4UD sux!!!  It is  not worth taking up, you should fly a Pony, NIKI, or Spit! Great planes !  ;)

Eh, I'll chime in.  

109G-10 (plane I started in and still my favorite)
190A-8 (outgunned by nothing but a C-hog and a Tiffie, and a 110G-2)
190A-5 (cause it is a damn nice plane, especially for 1943)

Pretty much all the other 190s and 109s, except for the G-6 (which I hate flying), and the 190F-8, which is pointless in my opinion.

For the Allies, it is a toss-up between the P-47 and the P-38.  The Jug has fantastic firepower and surprising manueverability, and the P-38 just rocks.  My best sortie ever (without rearming) was in a P-38, something like 12 or 13 kills.

P-38L for JABO duty (Hurri IIc back when it had 2 1000lb bombs!)
