Task force radar is on CV alone so when CV ded we can see by no dar con instead of asking "Is CV ded?"..

Also why does CV's dar die same time with HQ's dar?
One would think at least they were separate systems and not depending if HQ was up or down.

Seems to me that the health of HQ should only affect GLOBAL radar. LOCAL radar should be available in the tower at any field/fleet that has a working radar tower.

I agree also. Radar ought to be localized. Networked radar was rare in RL; if that has any relevance. And radar in TGs ought to be independent of HQ.

I want WW2 Target system for the 8in guns. Aimming with 1800's style sucks.

So they had GPS controlled map and "point'n'shoot" systems in 1800s? Cool :)

Wasn't WWII ship borne radar "surface radar"?
I know that they were able to detect threats from the air but didn't they have the capability of detecting ships at sea? If so, then further neutering the CV's dar would be a step in the wrong way. There's a good argument for modifying it so that from the ships you can see low alt cons incomming and the enemys CV if it's within range. I don't know if having 2 radar settings is possible in AH but if not then some concessions for gameplay is justified IMO.
