time to give credit to the ack weenies for shooting us all down so many times.
-
I thought the last time you posted this was time to give them credit? Make up your mind.
-
No, the truth is Citabria does not want to give credit for his death to anyone. He would rather see an inanimate personality like "the ack weenies" get it.:)
Its true...:)
-
Actually, I agree !
I know a rare moment, but still.
-
And call the ack weenies "Archibald" like the British did in WW1 :)

There are some things HT had right in warbirds. Give the ack weenies their due.

Gotcha twice this tour.... :D
Osty and ack.
Of course, you HO'd my dead engine Yak while I was on short final as partial revenge. I know that your Mossy went down too, but I'm not sure why, I doubt that my last 15 MG rounds were responsible. Probably the ack, or that 110G-2 on the runway.
Got some poor bugger's 262 the other night.... Why he was strafing an airfield with 200 perks on the line remains a mystery to me.
My best,
Widewing

Sounds good to me...I liked the Ack Weenies.
-
Widewing, I strafe fields with the 262 if there ain't anything else to shoot at.
It's just a matter of being bored. :)

I vote to leave it as it is. If I die in the ack and somebody gets a "free" kill, he was probably at least trying to defend the field, so give him a freebee. If I shoot the tail off somebody over my field, and he flutters down into the ack, I deserve the kill. Also, there were a lot of "ack suicides" in WB, just to deny kills to field defenders when they got the advantage.
Or....change it. I really don't care.

Hey, I know of about 190 Bish and Knits who died this tour by entering my personal "no fly zone" that I maintain around any CV where I'm manning a 5" dual gunmount. Learn how to use those guns and nothing inside of 5k lives for long.
More than 1/2 of my deaths this tour are due to acks, GVs and PT boats. So, in my view, triple A is a big part of the game.
My regards,
Widewing
