I have been getting back into the hardcore modern sims with Comanche-Hokum.  I really enjoy it but it is just not stable on my system.

I have a copy of F4 sitting on the shelf and am thinking of giving it another whirl.

Anybody play this?  What patches and addons should I get?

I'm also thinking of getting back to Falcon 4.0

With the new  Superpak, its a completly different beast.
VERY stable, fast, fun.

I bought falcon 4.0 a few months ago (was in a box with 2 other sim for 25 quid).  However it didn't come with a manual so i don't how to fly the soddin thing.  Searched for an online manual but couldn't find one- all i've got is the readme file and that's useless.:(

that sucks.
i have the original binder book version.
the manual is huge,  but already obsolete.

if you install the superpak, iirc it includes all the sim instructions in  PDF format.

the manual is even better then the game.

I have installed uninstalled falcon 4 so many times I am dizzy.

I get too much stutter to make it a pleasure to fly.

Get the new superpak and its a much better game then out of the box.

But I cant get rid of the stutter..........

It claims to be the Falcon 4 manual, and I downloaded it from somewhere (think this was it) a few months ago. However, it's big (almost 8mb), and I'm not downloading it again to check, so if it's full of porn instead don't blame/thank me.

I have a perfect copy of the manual in spiral, one completely destroyed original binder, key cards, and 2 disks. I have it loaded, patched and working, but find it hard to get back into.

BTW, where do we sell and trade this stuff? I have Comanche-Hokum, Mig Alley, Flanker 2.5 (cool beans too, just hard to get into) all kinda other crap I'd like to sell, give away, trade.

Funked, in what way is EECH unstable? I love the game, but it gets stale in single-player.

It has a lot of graphics problems.  It doesn't play nice with DX8.1 and the newer graphics cards.  Locks up like clockwork.

hey nashwan, thanks for the url to the manual.  the manual is a huge 575 pages long!!:eek:


Better start reading i guess...
